David spent his working life in aviation as an Air Traffic Controller. In those days his favourite hobbies were sailing and flying. Here is an early photograph of him at the controls of a Beechcraft Mentor light aircraft.
With retirement he has settled for a more pedestrian lifestyle; these days his biggest challenge is competing with friends on the course at Royal Portrush Golf Club.
